I've never had an experience like this at a hair salon. The moment you walk in, the calm atmosphere just washes over you. No loud music, no chaos — just incredibly focused, skilled stylists who truly care about your hair. My cut was the most precise I've ever had. I also did the head spa which was absolute bliss. MEY is a true gem in East Village.
Came for the BYKARTE treatment after seeing it mentioned online. The stylists explained the whole process in detail and the results were remarkable — my hair felt completely transformed, healthier and shinier than it's been in years. The garden view and peaceful environment make this feel like a luxury spa, not just a salon. Absolutely worth it.

The stylists communicate clearly in both English and Japanese, and they understand exactly what you want without overexplaining. The only reason I give 4 stars is the limited hours — wish they were open on Wednesdays!
